History of the Building
The historic building: from its origins to the phases of restructuring
The Riccardo Catella Foundation is headquartered in a newly renovated building that was built at the end of the ninetheenth century as a warehouse and was later used as a movie set and used as a workshop of contemporary art in the twentieth century. The recovery of the building located in Via G. De Castillia was implemented in order to preserve the value of the historical link between the structure and the Isola area. Indeed, this quarter is historically active regarding cultural initiatives and unaffected aggregations.
The redecoration, held in 2005, considered the existing project with the aim of enhancing the external image of the building and preserving its typical plant.
